Bobby Womack was born on March 4, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S. he was called as Robert Dwayne Womack birth name. He is an American singer-songwriter and musician. His music work and songs are based on the the soul and R&B genres. His father is also a singer. He sang sang in gospel music. Bobby Womack and his brothers joined and founded family music group called “Sam Cooke”. They recorded and released musical work for “Cooke's SAR record” in the 1960s. They ranked top with a hit song "It's All Over Now" in 1964. Then “the Rolling Stones” song gave them a huge success. He learned to play musical instruments like guitar, piano and drums. Through the excellent music he created a fan base for his songs. The lyrics from his songs go throw deepen into your heart and make you remember for a long.

Bobby Womack got little success as a solo artist by releasing solo musical album. Then he started to record a variety of classic soul-music songs "What Is This" in 1968 was the first song which hitted the music chart. In the songs "It's Gonna Rain" and "More Than I Can Stand," Bobby Womack contributed on both guitar work and vocal. He became a songwriter, and contributed many songs to Wilson Picket. Some of his song writing works are "I'm in Love" and "I'm a Midnight Mover." Beautiful lyrics and the song will make you remember forever with its lyrics on the lips. Then he got signed with the United Artists label in 1970s. he released his music album “Communication”. He introduced his song "Breezin” which is a hit song. He did cover versions for Fred Neil's "Everybody's Talkin” as well as "Fly Me to the Moon (In Other Words)" and James Taylor's "Fire and Rain” and "California Dreamin”. He appeared and played the musical instrument guitar for the song “Sly & the Family Stone's”, “There's a Riot Goin' On” and “Pearl”. He featured a song “Trust Me”. Some of his continoues hit songs are "Lookin' for a Love", "Across 110th Street," "Woman's Gotta Have It", "You're Welcome, Stop on By," and the "Daylight." All the songs are composed with excellent musics and lyrics. In 1981 Bobby Womack released his music and songs as album “The Poet”. This gave him a surprise hit. The music album contains some hit songs like "If You Think You're Lonely Now". The music from this song and lyrics are widely reached and received by music fans. His musical work and song "Across 110th Street" was appeared the title song of the 1972 movie. His musical works were used in several popular films like the movie “Meet the Parents” in 2000, Ali in 2001 and American Gangster in 2007. Womack continues his music and song records and also makes live appearances. In the year 2006 the music album “K-Ci” was released it includes Bobby Womack's song "Woman's Gotta Have it".
