In the same year 1966, Thomas also released a solo music album with the same name "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry". This was produced by Scepter Records.
Thomas started achieving success from 1968, with the song "Hooked on a Feeling", this song is featured with music of an electric sitar, this song was first released on the musical album “On My Way” . This musical album was produced by same Scepter Records. In1969 song "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head", was featured in a film “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”. From the music album “Reunion” was his second number one hit. His other successful songs are "Songs" and "Don’t Worry Baby"(the Beach Boys classic) were produced by ABC Records.
