Early Life of the Musician

Andre Kostelanetz was born on December 22, 1901. The great musician was born in St.Petersburg, Russia. Due to Russian Revolution he arrived to U.S. in the year 1920s.He started conducting musical concerts for radio and during the year 1930s he started his own weekly show on CBS in the name “Andre Kostelanetz”. He started playing piano at the age five. He studied musics from the St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music. He worked as an assistant music conductor for Imperial Grand Opera in Petrogrand. As a music conductor, music arranger and musical advisor Andre Kostelanetz presented several music in a large orchestral setting. In 1952 he had associated with the New York Philharmonic and gave 27 remarkable seasons. Between 1963 to 1979 he worked as a Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of Promenade concerts. He conducted music for several films. In 1946 he gave U.S no.1 hit musical song “Prisoner of Love”. The two remarkable music and song compositions are “Moon Love” and “On The Isle Of May”. The lyrics for the song “Prisoner of Love” was written by Mack David and Mack Davis and lyrics for the song “On The Isle Of May” was written by Mack David.
